At Lake City Refrigeration & Restaurant Supply, we stand behind the quality of our products. We understand that sometimes a return or warranty claim may be necessary, and we strive to make the process as clear and fair as possible for our customers in Calgary and across Western Canada.


1. Returns Policy

We accept returns under the following conditions:

  • Products must be in original, unopened packaging.
  • Returns must be initiated within 15 days of delivery.
  • Items must be returned to our Calgary warehouse.

Fees & Shipping

  • Returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • Outbound and return shipping/freight costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product was defective or shipped in error.

Condition of Returned Products

  • Returned items are inspected upon arrival.
  • Credit is issued only after verification that products are undamaged, unopened, and in original packaging.
  • Products failing inspection may be refused or returned to the customer at their expense.

2. Warranty Coverage

Most products carry a manufacturer’s warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Warranty coverage is typically 1 year unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer.
  • Warranty applies to commercial refrigeration, cooking equipment, and other restaurant supply items purchased from Lake City.
  • Warranty claims must include proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).

Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear
  • Products modified or altered after purchase
  • Freight damage not reported within 48 hours of delivery
  • Consumables, bulbs, filters, or similar expendable items

Warranty Claims Process

  1. Contact our team with your order number, product details, and description of the defect.
  2. Provide photos or documentation of the issue if applicable.
  3. We will guide you through repair, replacement, or return authorization (RMA) procedures.

Note: Some items may require inspection by the manufacturer before a warranty replacement or repair is approved.

3. Exchanges

  • Exchanges are treated as a return followed by a new order.
  • Standard restocking fees and shipping charges may apply.
  • Please contact our Calgary team to initiate any exchanges.

4. Local Support & Service

  • For customers in Calgary or nearby areas, we can arrange in-person inspection, repair, or pickup for eligible warranty claims.
  • For customers elsewhere in Western Canada, shipping or freight costs for warranty inspections or returns are subject to the terms above.
